    江姐江竹筠，1920年8月20日出生于四川省自贡市大山铺江家湾的一个农民家庭。1939年入党。1948年6月14日，由于叛徒的出卖，江姐不幸被捕，被关押在重庆渣滓洞监狱，国民党军统特务用尽各种酷刑，但江姐誓死不屈。

    1949年11月14日，在重庆即将解放的前夕，江姐被国民党军统特务杀害于渣滓洞监狱，为共产主义理想献出了年仅29岁的生命。

    证明在中国公学停办后，江姐按上级指示考入重庆中华职业学校，毕业后步入社会。时过数年后转移到成都，因组织学运的需要而报考四川大学。她仅读过高中一年和一年半职业学校，就在短短两个月时间内补完所有课程，顺利考入川大。
